ONCE UPON A GRIND

Fairy Tale fever has descended on New York City, and Central Park's Belvedere Castle and the wooded Ramble below are transformed into a magical Storybook Kingdom for a weekend. At that event, the Village Blend offers "Magic Coffee Bean Readings" to raise cash for charity: Clare is skeptical that these beans are really "magic," but she's shaken when she closes her eyes and experiences a vivid and disturbing vision of a silken-haired beauty in a fairy-like gown, who is pursued through the woods by a dark and dangerous figure. The same night, she stumbles across the silken-haired Beauty from her vision, sprawled in the shadows of the nearby tree, wearing a fairy-like gossamer gown. Beauty was injected with a dangerous drug to put her in a semi-permanent coma. Clare finds a second victim after a fairy-tale themed party that the Village Blend caters. Coffeehouse Manager cum amateur sleuth Clare Cosi hopes that the Prince Charming Club holds the key to the case--because if she can't solve this fairy tale murder mystery, those "magic" coffee beans she's been brewing predict an unhappy ending.
