What’s funny is that no one... «One of Our Kind»
What’s funny is that no one actually speaks standard American English. It’s this made-up dialect that you only learn through professional training. A person’s accent tells you so much about them. An accent is an amalgamation of sounds based not only on where you’ve lived, but your race and class as well as the people you’ve known. I find it interesting that the industry prefers us to sound like we’re from nowhere in particular.
