‘They’re not together,’ CeCe replies, with a slight eye roll. ‘They’re just friends.’
‘Friends with benefits,’ I say. ‘And I don’t mean health insurance.’
‘People probably say that about us, you know.’
‘Are you propositioning me, Celine?’
She scowls, wrinkling her nose. ‘You wish, Di Mario. I mean, sure, you’re hot, but I don’t think you could handle all this.’ She stands up in the narrow aisle on the tender, places her hands on her plastic seat, and starts shaking her ass, flicking her hair from side to side.
‘No,’ I say through a laugh, ‘I’m definitely not cut out for whatever that is.’
