Diagnostic ultrasound is a simple, noninvasive and innocuous technique that permits tissue interfaces to be detected and their shape and size described. The present project was planned to study the possible use of diagnostic ultrasound to assess the spontaneous lesions of testes and epididymides of rams and male goats. For this purpose, 10 normal organs and 28 organs with spontaneous lesions of testis and epididymis were collected from rams and male goats after slaughter. After manual palpation, these organs were imaged ultrasonically using a B-mode, real time ultrasound scanner, fitted with a 5.0 MHz convex array transducer. After ultrasound examination, each organ was dissected and the nature of the lesions and their contents, if any, was observed. Tissue samples from selected organs were processed for histopathological studies after staining with hematoxylin and eosin stain. There was no difference in the echotexture of normal testes and epididymides of both species i.e. rams and male goats.

The aim of this work is to develop an application which can be used for privacy and security purposes over an open environment like internet. The application also provides multilayer security in the form of steganography, which is used to hide the data into the image and secondly, cryptography in order to encrypt the image with a key. Application developed is based on Image Steganography by converting the data into streams of bits and then hiding the data inside an image. Digital images are considered better because of their high usage not only in the daily life activities but also on internet. The objective of this application is to provide a safe and secret communication to business and security sectors for transmitting their secret data on internet without getting attention of intruders. This method is considered better than encryption because the data is invisible to others which prevents from wrong attention and make communication secure.

Farmers Field School (FFS) is a participatory based learning started in 1988- 89 in Indonesia and by time spread all over the world for capacity building of farming community. From the last decade, both Pakistani government and private sector are investing a lot on farmer’s education, developing their skills, enhancing their knowledge and solving their problems by themselves through FFS which ultimately leads towards agricultural development in the country. Many studies were conducted on FFS but evaluation was not conducted. Therefore; the study was conducted to evaluate the role of FFS approach in dissemination of advance agricultural technology among the farming community of tehsil Rawalpindi. On the bases of this study the conclusion were drawn and recommendations were made.

Pesticide usage has become an essential component of modern age agriculture. Their applications for the protection of crops through the pests, insects, mites, ticks and weeds are increasing steadily. The Pyrethroids constitute about twenty five percent of total pesticides used worldwide. These are based on an ester, derived from a flower chrysanthemum. Bifenthrin and cypermethrin are amongst natural Pyrethrins used. The excessive use of pesticides creates different environmental problems including soil and water pollution and ecological imbalance. Soil microflora the hidden creatures in earth's biodiversity and the soil microbial community are physiologically versatile in metabolizing and mineralizing a wide variety of organic pollutants into non toxic form. The utilization of microorganisms to clean up xenobiotics from polluted environment present a cheap and biologically safe solution for pollution problem. The present work deals with isolation and chracterization of pyrethroid degrading bacteria from rhizospheric soil of tannery solid waste. Chromatographic separation of degraded products show the capacity of bacteria to be used as a biological tool for bioremediation.

This is an ethnographic study that focuses on the shrine of Sayedi Mossani with specific interest in the symbolic healing practiced at the shrine. This shrine is famous for surgery through dreams and is mostly visited by people who suffered of chronic illness and diseases for years. Dream provide the medium where by the dead saint visited the patients and transformed them from the state of illness to the state of the health. Dreams and their interpretation is dominant medium of therapy at the shrine.Dreams which are interpreted by the Fakirs of the saint at the Mazar help the patients to develop alternative narrative or life stories and help them to externalize their problem. Dream therapy in this instance is not bent on curing a disease but directed toward an alternative narrative of healing that hammers out new and viable way of articulating self and the world. So that the therapeutic encounter and the wary intimate healing relationship with the divine doctors, Sayedi Mossani, is the source of empowerment and transformation.

User can manipulate or perform different functions on fasta sequences of all those genes available in catalog like domain identification in different genes or finding homologous sequences etc. This tool will be essential for scientist working on plants especially on rice and for those new to the field , as well as experienced researchers. This book also give deep insight into methodology of how to develop any kind of tool in Adobe Flex. Write up of this book and development of this tool was completed with the help of my co-worker Rana Rehan Khalid who is a student of Master in Bioinfomratics at Government College University Faisalabad, Pakistan.

In course of this book, the effort is to collect upon the components / competencies which account generically for the leadership domain. This book presents the handling of returned goods from a different perspective. The book compares forward logistics operations with reverse logistics operations.It is noted that Reverse logistics is not the opposite of profitable forward logistics.There are many complexities that are associated with reverse logistics operations that are addressed in this book. Design of warehouse, utilisation of transportation resources and allocation of human resource for handling returned goods are some factors that push the retailers to focus on forward logistics.Handling of returned goods costs $ 862 billion in USA. In Europe along with business needs an important driving force behind the implementation of reverse logistics operations is Government legislation. It is noted that in the book that if the urban retailers want to assure long-term profitability from their logistics operations then they cannot ignore logistics operations as part of their business strategy.

This Monograph aims to assess significant differences in university motivation of students in Peshawar, Pakistan, from the Institute Of Management Sciences (IMSciences) and the City University of Science and Information Technology (CUSIT). Overall university motivation and then the prospects of gender, employment, class shift morning or evening and degree level for either morning or evening are tested for their differences. Distinctive factors from literature are also merged into the inventory of university motivation and after a factor analysis the 63 item inventory is shortened into 31 item resultant inventory. Factors resulting from factor analysis are considered as significant measures of university motivation from the data of these two universities. 440 students responded with fully filled questionnaires off which 189 from CUSIT and 251 from IMSciences. The information from this study is useful for the respective institutions as it identifies the university best at motivating students and also it reflects which dynamics overall in vicinity represent higher levels of university motivation.

Parthenium hysterophorus has become a major weed of various areas of the country in a relatively short time. In the present study the detailed survey of district Sialkot with total 53 sites was conducted to evaluate the extent of infestation of Parthenium hysterophorus. Along with P. hysterophorus a great number of other weeds were also observed during the survey. Among the waste lands of Sialkot infestation of P. hysterophorus was more than 50%, along the road side was 60%, the waterways 46% and along the crop fields was 56% and at the banks of rice fields and Trifolium sp. and in fallow land was 54%. During the survey phyto-sociological analysis was also carried out. The parameters of prevalence, absolute & relative frequency, density and importance value of Parthenium and other weed species were calculated. Among all the weed species Parthenium was most evident. Parthenium was prevalent 92.31%, 94.74% and 91.67% in Tehsil Sialkot, Daska and Pasroor respectively. Some sites exhibited complete absence of Parthenium where 14 weed species were recorded. This book could be helpful in evaluation of current status of Parthenium which may change by this invasive weed in future.

Many Malware detection systems these days are using signature based techniques to detect malwares and viruses. The zero day or new infected files are not detected by these signature based Anti Viruses and their signature is generated only after they have done their damage. Hence it becomes very important for a user to constantly update the antivirus software. To overcome these problems, we have proposed a solution based on Artificial Intelligence techniques. So the clients will not require frequent updates and probability of detecting zero day infections will rise abruptly. This project is based on implementing data mining algorithms mainly C4.5 Decision Tree learner. We have generated a dataset on the basis of already known malicious executable files. A C4.5 decision tree is generated based on the generated dataset and the unknown executables are passed through the tree to classify the executable as a malicious or a benign file. The purpose is to get rid of the manual signature based Malware detection systems that require constant updated signatures and making systems artificially immune to unknown and zero day malicious executables.
