Die zweimonatige Reise der siebzehnjährigen Ulli und ihrer nymphomanischen Freundin Edi, ohne Geld, ohne Papiere, mit nur einem Schlafsack und je einem T-Shirt zum Wechseln, führt sie von Wien über die Alpen nach Verona, Rom und Neapel bis nach Sizilien. Durch eine Intrige verlieren die Mädchen einander, treffen auf Junkies, Straßenmaler, vom italienischen Machismo überforderte Esoteriker, Nachwuchs-Mafiosi wie ausgewachsene Capos, die trotz der in Palermo schwelenden Mafiakriege ein beunruhigendes Interesse an den Mädchen zeigen.
