When Danny's soccer practice is canceled, he's forced to go with his brother, Josh, to a meeting for a wildlife and nature group. But a fluke encounter with a muffin turns both brothers into beetles just in time to learn all about pond-dipping...from the bug's perspective! Josh and Danny are at the zoo with Petty Potts to try out an amazing spray that can turn them into anacondas! But when Petty wanders off, the twins soon realise that, as two snakes on the loose, they are in danger of being put in a cage with other anacondas. And when they SWITCH back into boys they turn into a tasty snake snack!

Petty Potts, scientist extraordinaire, is losing her touch. The spray that's supposed to switch Josh and Danny into chameleons refuses to work. But the next day, at school, things get very weird. It looks like Petty's spray has worked after all, and it shows no sign of wearing off any time soon.

Someone nasty lives up the road - a boy called Tarquin - and he's been invited over to play by Josh and Danny's mum. The twins know that their day is going to be a nightmare but when they accidently get turned into ants the situation isn't just bad it's deadly.

When the boys accidentally stumble on Miss Potts's secretthat she is working on experiments that change people into bugsthey find themselves in a whole lot of trouble. (They also find themselves with six more legs than normal.) Can the boys survive in the world as spiders? And more important, will they figure out how to change back into humans in time for dinner?

Petty Potts has been kidnapped and it is up to Josh and Danny to find her. While investigating, the twins come across Petty's latest SWITCH spray. A special formula that can turn them into alligators! Josh and Danny soon have a date with Destiny.
