О премии

Премия "Тикстон Олд Пекьюлер" (англ. Theakston's Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year Award) - ежегодная британская литературная премия за лучший детективный роман.

Премия учреждена в 2005 году. На ее получение номинируются криминальные романы, опубликованные в мягкой обложке в любое время в течение предыдущего, перед вручением премии, года.

Голосование проводится общественностью с учетом решения жюри-коллегии. Процесс избрания лауреата не очень широко освещается организаторами премии, лишь подчеркивается, что главный выбор остается за читателями.

Вручение премии проходит ежегодно в июле месяце в курортном городе Харрогейт (англ. Harrogate) в Северном Йоркшире Англии на фестивале пива.

Лауреат премии получает £3000 фунтов стерлингов и небольшую резную дубовую пивную, ручной работы, бочку эля.

Спонсором премии является "Theakston's Old Peculier".
