Премия Гордона Берна - английская литературная награда «для поощрения художественной или научной литературы, написанной на английском языке, что, по мнению судей, наиболее успешно отражает дух и чувствительность литературных методов Гордона: романы, которые осмеливаются войти в историю и допросить прошлое ... литература, которая бросает вызов воспринимаемым понятиям жанра и заставляет нас снова думать о том, что именно мы читаем".

Премия была учреждена в 2012 году Фондом Гордона Берна, издателем писателя Faber & Faber, New Writing North и Durham Book Festival, чтобы почтить память английского писателя Гордона Берна (1948-2009).

Автор-победитель получает 5000 фунтов стерлингов и возможность совершить письменный ретрит до трех месяцев в коттедже Гордона Берна в Беруикшире.

Based on transcribed interviews with Sonia, a horse trainer, the novel vividly captures the
