The book is broken into 50+ items that appear in four sections. (Section IV is short.) So…
1. Go through the sections one at a time. Pick your top four items from sections one, two, and three. (And pick one from section four.) Basis: Stuff that seems important. Stuff you’re currently overlooking. Stuff that’s oddball but may be worth a look.
2. Now examine the action items associated with each of your selections. Pick one action item per selection worth cranking on now. (Per the metric above, that’ll give you about 13 action items.)
3. Take that list of 13, and put priorities against them: 1 = Gotta Do. 2 = Great Idea. 3 = Good idea, but not as useful/cool as the others.
4. Get to work on three or four of the highest priorities from the examination in step three above.
